Description:
A person who can read and understand simple short sentences about daily life in any language (regardless of writing style or form) and can write them, and whose ability remains intact even after a certain period of time, is considered literate. On the other hand, a person who is unable to read, understand, or write even the simplest short sentences in any language, and whose reading or writing ability is lost after a certain period, is considered illiterate. Additionally, if a person can read but cannot write, or if they lack either reading, comprehension, or writing skills, they are also considered illiterate.

Calculation method
The number of literate individuals aged 15 and above is expressed as a percentage of the total population of that age group. Similarly, the number of illiterate individuals is compared to the total population, and the percentage of the illiterate population is determined by subtracting the percentage of literate individuals from 100%.
